Call (617) 721-1814 or email thiagodesouza10@gmail.com. You’ll be talking to Thiago DeSouza — the person who walks your property, writes your estimate, and is on site while the work happens. Estimates are free, and the answer is straight either way, including “your roof is fine, don’t spend the money yet.”
Call rather than email — (617) 721-1814. Put a bucket under it, move what you can, and photograph the ceiling stain before it gets cleaned up. Then read what to do about an active roof leak.
The two ways to reach us
No call center, no dispatcher, no form that drops your details into a lead-selling database. Two channels, both landing with the same person.
- Phone — (617) 721-1814. Best for anything urgent, and anything where you want a real answer in one conversation.
- Email — thiagodesouza10@gmail.com. Best when you have photos to send, or when you’re planning a replacement months ahead and there’s no rush.
Either way you get a fast response. We won’t invent a guaranteed number of minutes on a website — roofers are on roofs during the day — but a missed call gets returned.
Why there’s no address on this page
DeSouza Roofing is a service-area contractor. No showroom, no storefront, no counter to walk up to — and that’s deliberate rather than a gap. A roofing showroom is shingle samples stapled to a board; it tells you nothing about your roof. What tells you something is somebody in your attic with a flashlight, looking at the underside of your decking.
So we come to you. Ten years of that across Boston’s northern suburbs. And a showroom lease is overhead that ends up in somebody’s quote.
What to have ready when you call
None of it is required — call with nothing and we’ll still help. But five minutes of prep gets a far more useful conversation, and sometimes an answer over the phone.
| Have this ready | Why it changes the answer |
|---|---|
| Roughly how old the roof is | A 9-year-old roof with one leak is almost always a flashing repair. A 24-year-old roof with the same leak is a different conversation. |
| What you’re seeing, and exactly where | “Bedroom ceiling, north side, near the chimney” narrows the cause far more than “there’s a leak.” |
| Whether water is actively coming in | Decides whether we’re scheduling an estimate or moving today. |
| Single-family or multi-family | A Somerville three-decker with no driveway stages differently than a Wilmington colonial with an open yard. |
| Any photos you’ve taken from the ground | Gutter line, affected slope, ceiling stain. Send them ahead and we can often tell what we’re looking at. |
Don’t climb up to take pictures for us. Everything we need can be shot from the ground, a window, or the attic. A wet or frosted slope is dangerous, and no photo is worth a fall.
Call today, or is it fine to wait?
Not everything is an emergency, and we’d rather say so than book an urgent visit you don’t need.
Call today
- Water actively dripping, or a ceiling bulging.
- A nor’easter took shingles off and the deck is exposed — that has to be covered before the next rain.
- A tree limb on or through the roof.
- Meltwater running down an interior wall during an ice dam thaw.
- A visibly sagging or dipping roof line.
This can wait for a scheduled visit
- Shingles curling, cupping, or shedding granules.
- An old ceiling stain that’s dry and hasn’t grown.
- The roof is 18 to 25 years old and you’re planning ahead.
- A home-sale inspection flagged the roof and you want a second opinion.
- You’re collecting estimates. Take your time.
What happens after you get in touch
- We talk it through. Age, symptoms, what you’re seeing. Sometimes it ends with “that’s a repair,” and that’s a good outcome.
- We look properly. On the roof, in the attic, at the flashing and the ventilation — not a drive-by from the curb.
- You get it in writing. The specification line by line, the price, and what happens if we find bad decking. Free, no obligation, no follow-up pressure.
- You decide on your own timeline. We don’t do expiring discounts, and the quote isn’t a countdown.
Where we work
Nine communities: Boston, Somerville, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham, Woburn, Wakefield, Burlington and Wilmington. Just outside that ring? Call anyway and we’ll tell you honestly.
Contact questions
Do you have an office or showroom I can visit?
No. We’re a service-area contractor, so there’s no walk-in address. The estimate happens at your house, which is the only place the information actually is — your roof, your attic, your flashing, your ventilation. Call (617) 721-1814 and we’ll come to you.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, with no obligation attached. We get on the roof, look in the attic, and give you a written specification and price. If your roof has years left and needs a flashing repair, that’s what the estimate will say.
Will my call go to a call center or a lead service?
No. The number on this site is Thiago’s. Your details don’t get sold to three other contractors, and you won’t be handed to whichever crew is free. One name, one owner, one phone number.
Can I just email photos instead of calling?
Absolutely — thiagodesouza10@gmail.com. Ground-level shots of the affected slope, the gutter line and any interior stain are usually enough for a preliminary read. We still need to see the roof in person before quoting a number.
Do you do repairs, or only replacements?
Both, and that’s the whole point. Because repair and replacement live under the same roof here, we don’t need your job to be the big one. We also do siding in vinyl and fiber cement.
